Use case
Electronics and accessories on WhatsApp
Compatibility and post-purchase support generate high volumes of messages, and both are answerable from structured product and order data.
What customers ask
- "Will this work with my model?" — answered from your own compatibility notes
- "Where is my order?" — answered with the real fulfilment status and carrier on record
- "How do I set it up?" — answered from your product documentation
What changes
Order-status questions get deflected before they become a support ticket, and returns are reduced by better pre-purchase answers.
What does not change
The agent answers messages it receives. It does not chase customers, it does not send campaigns, and it cannot act on an abandoned cart today. If a vendor promises you those without showing you where to switch them on, ask again.
- No visual workflow builderAutomations run on an event-driven engine, but there is no drag-and-drop editor for authoring them in the app.
- Commerce-event triggers are not selectable yetThe engine supports orders, checkouts, customers, products and fulfilments. Merchants can currently switch on the inbound WhatsApp message trigger only. The rest are rolling out.
- No abandoned-cart recoveryThe checkout trigger is implemented in the backend but is not merchant-selectable, so no customer can be messaged unprompted.
