Terms of service
What you are responsible for, how billing works, and what this service does not promise.
These terms cover your use of WhatsApp Agent, a Shopify app operated by Cognilexa OÜ. By installing the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, uninstall the app.
What the service does
WhatsApp Agent is a Shopify app whose AI agent answers a merchant's WhatsApp customer messages using their live Shopify product, inventory, order and customer data, in nine languages, with one-click human hand-off.
The agent is an assistant, not an authority. It reads the data you grant it access to and answers from that data. It can be wrong, and it can be handed to a human at any point. You remain responsible for the answers your store gives customers.
Your responsibilities
- You must be entitled to use the WhatsApp number you connect. You are responsible for complying with Meta’s WhatsApp Business policies, including the rules on template messages and opt-in.
- You must have a lawful basis for the customer data you process. You decide what your customers are told and what they consent to. We provide the tool; the relationship with your customers is yours.
- Review what the agent says before you rely on it. Especially for anything involving pricing, stock promises, delivery dates, or regulated products.
- Do not use the app to send unlawful, deceptive or unsolicited bulk messages.The app is built to answer customers who contact you, not to broadcast.
Plans and billing
Paid plans currently available are Starter, Growth, Scale. Current prices are on the pricing page, which is the authoritative list.
- All charges are billed in USD through Shopify.
- Cancel at any time from your Shopify admin.
- A 14-day trial (100 replies) starts when you choose a paid plan during setup. Upgrading later from Settings starts the subscription immediately.
Plan allowances are enforced by counters in the product. If you exceed a limit, the app stops processing until the next cycle or until you upgrade — it does not silently overcharge you.
What we do not guarantee
- No availability guaranteeThe agent answers when our backend, the language-model provider and the Meta connection are all healthy. There is no failover and no SLA, and we do not describe the service as 24/7.
- No accuracy guaranteeA language model can produce a wrong answer. Answer quality depends on the instructions and data you give it. Check it on your own catalogue before relying on it.
- No compliance certificationWe are not SOC 2 certified and do not describe ourselves as fully GDPR compliant. See data and security.
Ending the agreement
You can uninstall the app at any time from your Shopify admin, which ends this agreement and stops processing. Cancelling a paid subscription is done through Shopify. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, attempt to break it, or use it to send unsolicited messages.
